Nick Woods Wins California BASS Federation Nation State Tournament with 41.34 lbs.

The California BASS Federation Nation held there 2007 State tournament August 3&4 2007. All angles were given sponsor product upon checking in Triton Hats, Mercury Hats, Berkley Gulp Worms, Xtreame Reel Lube, Evan Williams T-shirts and Hats, Pro Cure Sample and Mercury, Triton and Lowrance Brochures and more (The West Marine Bags were stuffed). With a duel weight in on Friday August 3, Pat Wilson of the Sonoma County Belly Boaters was in the lead with 26.63 lbs., Second was Edward Peterson of the Golden State Club with 20.80 lbs flowed by Nick Woods of the Siskiyou BASS Club with 20.55 lbs. Day one paid two big fish prizes one to Ed Peterson for a beautiful 7.35 lbs. largemouth and Pat Wilson with the tournament overall big fish of 9.22 lbs.  With Dinner served when angles came off the water to enjoy freshly cooked hot dogs and hamburgers with chips and waters. The Evan Williams Company sent some of there products for the anglers to enjoy ( Some of the angler enjoyed a little to much). Everything was wrapped up by 8 Pm for the angler to have another crack at it  Saturday Morning @ 5:40 blast off. With fish fishing a 6 hour event the tournament Staff from Xtreme REEL lube were busy getting thing set up for weight in and the raffle on day two.

Again angler came to the Pro Scale with full bags of fish waiting to see who will make the 12 man State to resent California @ The 2008 Western Divisional in Idaho. Nick Woods weight in a big bag, more  than day 1 to take the lead with 41.34 lbs and hold on to win. Followed closely by Pat Wilson with 39.73 lbs for second and Edward Peterson fishing third with 37.16 lbs. Tim Hendricks of the Mossdale BASSMASTER finished 4th with a total weight of 36.68 lbs. Before the anglers were given there awards and checks a large raffle of sponsor product was given out. Please see the attached list to see how the top 25 fished.
